MÖRMOO / AHULABRUM - split LP
MÖRMOO / AHULABRUM - split LP
Honestly some of the best material from both acts. Mörmoo, the solo project from Tksräa M., one of the main mages behind the Garde Noire circle, releases this split simultaneously with another conjoint ordeal produced with Unholy Eternity. Definitely with a more daring and refined songwriting, in this release Mörmoo intertwines synth-based, ultra distorted, abrasive Dark Ambient interludes, with primitive, intrepid Raw Black Metal, that is absolutely suffocating, with saturated guitar tones, demonic vocals and mid-paced riffs with more varied structures, with interludes and more riff variety. Definitely a triumph in death summoning and macabre worship.
On side B, the prolific Indrid Cold returns with his second split this year. The seminal founder of the UFO Black Metal "movement" delivers again, with some of his best material to date, managing to produce a demo that seems much more riff-based and musical, without sacrificing by any means any of the most bizarre, otherwordly elements and atmospheres that he's able to capture, combining as usual the Brenoritvrezorkre styled riffage, with Industrial influenced, mind dissolving percussion, Noise and wicked vocalizations, particularly in "Other Tongues, Other Flesh"
